INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT
The Haskell and Irene Lemon Division of Construction Science (CNS) prides itself on maintaining active relationships with the construction industry. Below are just a few examples of the opportunities our students have to engage with construction professionals.
Career Fair

Every spring and fall semester, CNS hosts a career fair. This fair enables students at all levels to develop relationships with industry professionals. Click here for more information.
Competitions

Our students regularly place in student competitions sponsored by professional organizations, including NAHB, TEXO, DBIA, & NAHB. For a list of recent awards won by our students, click here (PDF).
Internships

We encourage our students to engage in professional internships. Three of our students–from left to right, Dennise Pedroza, Jacob Ruhl, and Leslie Avila–are pictured here as interns for The Beck Group.
Site Tours

Our students get engaged with the construction industry through site tours. Here, Dr. Perrenoud and his class tour an active construction site.
Local Partnerships

One of our many partnerships with local companies gives students hands-on experience through a Design-Build course.
Volunteerism

Our students recently volunteered with hurricane cleanup, which was sponsored by the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association.

Alumni
After graduation, our alumni provide lasting links to the construction industry. In this image, CNS graduate Josh Carson represents the TEXO Foundation at the ASC Region V Educator’s Conference.
