INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT

The Haskell and Irene Lemon Division of Construction Science (CNS) prides itself on maintaining active relationships with the construction industry. Below are just a few examples of the opportunities our students have to engage with construction professionals.

Career Fair

Construction Science Career Fair

Every spring and fall semester, CNS hosts a career fair. This fair enables students at all levels to develop relationships with industry professionals.

Competitions

Construction Science Students

Our students regularly place in student competitions sponsored by professional organizations, including NAHB, TEXO, & DBIA. For a list of recent awards won by our students, click here (PDF).

Internships

Construction Science Interns

Students are required to complete a full-time internship the summer before their senior year, and are encouraged to engage in internships every summer.

Site Tours

Our students get engaged with the construction industry thought site tours. Here, Professor Bloom’s class toured the OU softball stadium.

Design + Build

Design-Build Project

One of our many partnerships with local companies gives students hands-on experience through a Design-Build course.

Volunteerism

Out students engage in volunteer opportunities including hurricane cleanup, and the Big Event.
