About
Leslie Palacios joined the Gibbs College of Architecture in 2023 as an American Teaching Fellow in the Planning, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design (PLAD) program at the University of Oklahoma. She attended high school in Chesapeake, Virginia, earned a BLA and an MLA in Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech, and a Ph. D. in Environment and Planning at the University of Georgia. Dr. Palacios is a professional educator who continues to study the mechanisms of the studio environment. Her research interests also include greenbelts and green corridors in urban and rural settings. She started as a teaching fellow at the University of Oklahoma in 2023, and prior to that spent two years teaching at Purdue University in the Landscape Architecture Program and spent time teaching during and after her doctoral studies at the University of Georgia.
