Ferrero, Harvey

The Max Klein Office Building in Southfield, Michigan is comprised of sweeping curvilinear forms intersected by angular projections. The skin is clad in black metal panel ornamented with bold red graphic elements including dancing squares and lines. Ribbon windows and a projecting glass box serve to bring natural light into the interior spaces. The fearlessness of the experimental forms comprising the complex reflect a confidence developed in part from Ferrero’s training with Bruce Goff.
