Curriculum Vitae
Yeji Yi is an assistant professor of Interior Design in the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma. She earned her Ph.D. in Planning, Design and Construction from the University of Oklahoma. Her interdisciplinary research examines how environmental design influences human behavior, health and well-being. Research interests include evidence-based, human-centered design guided by behavioral patterns, preferences and cognitive mechanisms. Her expertise extends to encompassing individuals across a diverse spectrum of abilities as well as shaping inclusive environments. As an educator, she also investigates interior design pedagogy that advances students learning. The focus of teaching methods and content is not only on human-centered design but also on the interior design process.
