Marvin Laws began his legal career with the firm Hayes Magrini & Gatewood in Oklahoma City more than 18 years ago, handling primarily construction litigation, bond and lien claims, and related work. During the bidding phase, while work is in progress or after construction is complete, Marvin has assisted clients in resolving construction disputes of all kinds. Marvin has taught Legal Issues in Construction at the University of Oklahoma College of Architecture since 2014, and is a member of the Legislative Committee of the Associated General Contractors of Oklahoma. In 2017, Marvin started an alternative dispute resolution firm, specializing in mediating and arbitrating construction disputes, which is the only business of its kind in Oklahoma. Marvin is on the American Arbitration Association National Roster for Mediators and Arbitrators, Construction Panel and has been a member of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry since 2000.
