Dave Edwards is currently serving as a Professor of Practice for the Landscape Architecture Division in the Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma. He has worked with students, educators, business leaders, employees, homeowners and horticulture enthusiasts – promoting the field of horticulture and many aspects of the green industry.
Mr. Edwards is the former Division Head of Agriculture Technologies at the Oklahoma State University campus in Oklahoma City. Primary administrative responsibilities included oversight of the Horticulture Technology and Veterinary Technology Departments. He also taught the woody ornamental plant materials, landscape construction and landscape maintenance courses for the OSU-OKC Horticulture Department.
Prior to his appointment at Oklahoma State University – Oklahoma City, Mr. Edwards was employed as the campus Landscape Architect with the University of Oklahoma’s Architectural and Engineering Services from 1989-1995. He also taught Landscape Architecture classes in the College of Architecture as an adjunct faculty member.
Mr. Edwards is a registered Landscape Architect in the state of Oklahoma with an extensive background in plant materials, construction technology, site design and site maintenance. He currently serves on several state and community boards, and continues to be actively involved in the Landscape Architecture profession and the Horticulture industry in Oklahoma.
